Freiberger Christmarkt 2024

Original bergmännisch, so präsentiert sich der Freiberger Christmarkt jährlich von Dienstag vor dem ersten Advent bis 22. Dezember. Vor der Kulisse des historischen Obermarktes entsteht einer der schönsten Weihnachtsmärkte Deutschlands. Über 90 liebevoll aus­gestaltete Holzhütten sind sowohl bergmännisch dekoriert, als auch in ihrem Angebot eng mit Freibergs Historie verbunden. Deshalb sorgt z.B. der „Schmelzer“, der das Erz zu Silber schmolz, jetzt für leckeren Erzgebirgs-Glühwein. Auch die Bergparade mit anschließender Bergpredigt am Samstag vor dem zweiten Advent, die „Kleine Bergwerkstatt“ für Kinder und das Einläuten der Freiberger Weihnachtsruhe lassen das Abenteuer Bergbau auf dem Freiberger Christmarkt lebendig werden.

Our Altstadt-Hotel is located in the center of Freiberg’s historic old town. Within a 4 to 6 minute walk from our hotel in Freiberg you can reach most of the sights of our old town, which invites you to take a cultural or culinary stroll at any time of the year. We will be happy to provide you with recommendations of all kinds at our old town hotel. A thorough renovation and redesign of the old Hotel Bräustübel restaurant led to the opening of the new Altstadt-Hotel in Freiberg in June 2012. Stylish and cozy atmosphere in beautiful, modern equipped rooms, which are equipped with bath / shower / WC / satellite TV and free internet access, makes your visit to our 850 year old city an unforgettable stay.

Our historic restaurant, altes Bräustübel, is also undergoing a complete remodeling for a reopening in historic style. The tradition of mining in a great ambience combined with regional and seasonal cuisine will make your stay at the Altstadt-Hotel an experience. We are delighted to be able to present our beautiful mining town of Freiberg to you with our new overall concept and renovation of the Altstadt-Hotel.

From the Bräustübel to the Altstadt-Hotel

HistorY

The Altstadt-Hotel Freiberg has established itself as a popular hotel in Freiberg over the years. Characterized by the late Gothic architectural style from 1507, it impresses with its ambience. The first Bräustübel “Silbermann’s Restauration” began in 1872. After several new openings and reopenings as a restaurant and beer garden, the property was purchased in 2011, restored and reopened a year later as the Altstadt-Hotel Freiberg.
